About Her

Back in December 12, 1999, afternoon, two baby girls were born by Mrs. Evangeline Toribio and Mr. Teodoro M. Toribio. One named Giea, and one named Gieline.
They are both writers, in different manners. Giea is more fond of poetry and quotations while Gieline is more on narrative writing. That's why she came up with this blog - to share her experiences in life and to hopefully inspire others. She grew up with her nicknames "Gelli", "Laki", and "Bebang". She was just once, a small kid from Malolos, Bulacan. Humbly and simply- that's how she describes her living. During her childhood days, all she does is play play play along with her twin, her older brother, and her childhood friends. She hardly pays attention to her studies. She admits she didn't took her elementary education seriously, but she was always on the top section of her batch. From these days, she was already wacky and playful. But she can be serious, too. At their class, she was always the talkative one and many of elementary teachers were made angry by Gieline. She was happy-go-lucky, very out going, wherever her feet may take her.

In Kindergarten, she was the third honorable mention. She cries when her mommy leaves them to the room. She remembers on class, her mom is always beside her, because she will cry if she leave. Her sister didn't have any trouble but she...she always has. Especially in Math, she can't solve a simple addition problem, she needed to use fingers of her hand including the feet in order to count. When she got to elementary, she lost her way up. She spent more time with her friends, but she was never on the least, either.
She was average. At a young age, Gieline wants to try everything she sees - gymnastics, singing, journalism, dancing- and she did, although some were not that successful. At Grade 1, she remembers she can't even speak in English back in those days. In Grade 2, playing along the corridors of Malolos Elementary School (now City of Malolos Integrated School) became her hobby. At Grade 6, she formed a group with her friends, "The MiCREWbyos", a group of friends making their own versions of music videos during their recess or lunch break.

She was trained to write sports news article in Tagalog by her coach, Ms. Trina Victoria. She owes all her knowledge of sports to her. She won the first place on a District Schools Press Conference and a second place on a Division Schools Press Conference wherein she was sent to Olongapo, Zambales to compete. She also became their Filipino Class President wherein she thinks her leadership abilities were trained and sharpened. As a graduating student, she got two awards for journalism and for playing flute.

She had double thoughts on going to Bulacan Ecumenical School. She wanted to go to Marcelo H. Del Pilar, where many of her friends are. But she managed to try it. When she turned high school, she became active in the classroom and in organizations. As a transferee in her 7th grade, she was already elected as the Class Secretary of 7-Genesis and later won a Leadership Award and the Most Helpful Award. She became a part of groups called "Lemmongaise" and "Wacky Warriors".
She ranked top 7 in this academic year.

In Grade 8, she was nominated for the Student Council as a vice-president and won. She became the Class President of 8-Leviticus. Here, she joined a cooking contest, and won second place. She also joined the Performing Arts Club- Theater Arts, where she got a role as a fairy godmother. She put up her first ever blog "Outside Looking In" but she deleted it after months of inactivity. In these days, she found her ultimate barkada- #EtoNa :D- which is evident in some of her posts. She made it through Third Honors by the end of the year.

This year also, she directed some of her school's play and films- Sakriprisyo: A film by 8-Leviticus, Florante at Laura, and also their Christmas Fellowship play and presentation.

She also directed their class Christmas Carol and won first place.

In Grade 9, she decided to run for
presidency in their school's Student Council but, sadly, she didn't won.
She, again, was elected as the Class President of 9-Jeremiah. She was given an opportunity to dance for their Cultural Fest. She won again a leadership award this academic year. She was one of the leaders of the Field Demonstration wherein they brought home the title. She was later on elected as the  Grade 9 President. She hosted few events like Mr and Ms. United Nations 2014 and Angel's Day in their school.
She also belonged to another group called "Bon Voyage".

She directed one major play "Twinderella".

She joined the COCC (Cadet Officer Candidate Course) wherein she was awarded as the Best Female COCC trainee.

She opened up her second blog, "The Gieline Toribio Portfolio" and is currently running, powered by Blogger.

She once again, directed their Christmas presentation.

In her 10th grade, she was the the president of 10-Psalms, the president of their Cookery class, the president of the Student Council, the Cadet Major Provost Marshal of Class Marangal and the Secretary of the Supreme Student Government of the District of Malolos, Bulacan.
Their later group "Wacky Warriors" was renamed as "Backyard Girls" since they, five, seat on the back of their classroom.

She won "Best Debater" in their set and and their team as the "Best in Debate" regarding Agrarian Reform.  She joined the Cultural Fest as an Extemporaneous Speech deliverer and with God's grace, won championship.

She had her first ever modeling work with Fad's Affordable Fashion with Style.
On Christmas Day of 2015, she was featured on www.candymag.com and labeled as the December's Candy It Girl.

She was the "Star of the Night" of their JS Prom 2016 with the theme of the Roaring 20's.

Their C.A.T Graduation was held and she was the recipient of the "Service Award".

She also directed a film by this year - "Sino ang may Sala?"

She later on bagged Fourth Honors by the end of her Junior High School and was their batch's Leadership Awardee.

On her 12th grade, she took up the Academic Track- Accountancy and Business Management Strand where she finished with High Honors

Along with this was winning 2nd place in Collaborative Desktop Publishing in Division Schools Press Conference as a Sports Writer.

She lives in light and positivity. She claims success in her endeavors for God is within her. Now, she is focusing on her studies for she will be proceeding to Senior High School. She is currently working hard to achieve her dreams she seldom shares with anyone. As of the moment, Gieline is happy with her family although she misses some of her family members. Guaranteed! She will not stop until she reach her dreams.

And she, writes this herself, which may or may not be lifting her own bench. Lol i'm just telling a story ok (only the good parts tho haha wink).
